Building Teams That Actually Work

Projects don’t fail because of drawings, budgets, or schedules; they fail because of people. Drawing on experience as a project manager, preconstruction leader, and owner’s representative, Andy Rine has seen projects from every angle. Throughout that experience, one lesson has remained consistent: the difference between success and failure is rarely technical, it’s how teams communicate, align, and make decisions.

This session focuses on the human side of project performance. Rine will share practical, real-world tools used to get struggling projects back on track, along with simple strategies to help teams avoid those challenges in the first place. These approaches are grounded in experience rather than theory and are illustrated through stories from actual projects.

Attendees will learn how to recognize early warning signs, build alignment, and create accountability across project teams. The goal is straightforward: to help participants lead projects that run more smoothly by building teams that work better together.

Attendees will earn 1.5 LUs. Light refreshments will be serves.
