What: Lunchtime conversation with Audra Beasley

Details: Audra Beasley is a longtime advocate for children and disability rights, specifically for the inclusion of adult-sized changing tables in public facilities. She has held appointed positions on the state’s Interagency Coordinating Council which regulates SoonerStart (a program for children in Oklahoma living with disabilities and developmental delays) and she has served on the Governor’s sub-education committee to provide input on the state budget. Audra served on Sunbeam Family Service’s Policy Council, and she currently serves on the Public Policy Committee for the Arc of Oklahoma, Oklahoma’s largest advocacy group for those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as Chair of the Family Advisory Council at the Oklahoma Children’s Hospital. Last but not least, Audra is a candidate for Oklahoma City Ward 5 City Council seat, with elections to be held February 14.
