AIA’s “Embracing Our Differences. Changing the World” speaker series events launched in February, partnering with AIA Washington DC (AIADC), explored the imperative of expanding diversity in the architecture profession. The second event, in April, partnered with the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) discussed women in design.  During the third event, we learned from and engaged with a diverse panel of designers, leaders, and policy influencers who are shaping firm culture across the country to be more inclusive of the LGBTQI+ community.

The AIA is committed to broadening equity, diversity and inclusion to create a stronger profession. To support that mission, AIA has developed a number of programs and resources. Visit AIA’s website for more information on the Institute’s equity, equity, diversity and inclusion efforts.
